The Alexander Eastman Board of Trustees announces $413,000 in community grant awards for the period from July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021 to the following organizations:

  • Center for Life Management: $30,000
    • At a time when the COVID-19 pandemic is playing havoc with traditional mental health service delivery routes, CLM Access to Care program is pioneering a new model that uses tele-mental health services in order to provide increased access to care.
  • Community Caregivers: $30,000
    • Operating support for the Volunteer Caregiving and Loaner’s Closet programs. These programs help a vulnerable local population access critical health services and remain more safely and independently in their own homes.
  • Greater Derry Community Health Services: $195,000
    • Operating support for the delivery of health services, case management, and behavioral health services.
  • Greater Derry Oral Health Collaborative: $60,000
    • Support for the provision of comprehensive preventive dental services and education to improve the oral health of children from birth through middle school.
  • Isaiah 58 of NH: $25,000
    • Support for work being done to address homelessness and housing insecurity.
  • Planned Parenthood of Northern New England – Derry Health Center: $35,000
    • Support for providing health and dental care to under-served and vulnerable populations. As PPNNE works to respond to the COVID-19 crisis, the care provided is essential to patients’ health and well-being, and to reducing the demand on the broader health care system.
  • The Upper Room: $38,000
    • The Family Wellness program promotes safe, stable, and nurturing relationships between children and parents and/or caregivers. Funds also provided for food insecurity issues currently facing our community due to the challenges of COVID-19.
