The Alexander Eastman Foundation announces Grant Awards for
Community AED (Automated External Defibrillator) Loaner Programs supported by
the Derry, Windham, Londonderry, Chester, Hampstead, and Sandown Fire
Departments. The grant funding provided funds for each department to purchase
multiple AEDs for their program.

The program allows residents of each Town that
meet certain criteria to “check out” an automated external defibrillator (AED)
for group events occurring within their Town. Each of these Fire Departments are
proud to offer a valuable program that will aid each community in the treatment
of persons experiencing sudden cardiac arrest.

The Alexander Eastman Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable foundation whose mission is to improve the health and wellness of residents living in Derry, Londonderry, Windham, Chester, Hampstead and Sandown, New Hampshire. The Foundation, which was founded in 1930, makes grants to organizations in the six communities in the catchment area which support Health and Wellness.

PLEASE NOTE: To date, only the Derry Fire Program is operational, the other departments are in the process of implementation and should be in place by June 1, 2024.
